The impact of strategic intelligence on enhancing strategic position: A field study in Asiacell Telecommunications Company

Abstract:

The primary objective of the current research is to determine the extent to which strategic intelligence, in its dimensions (Foresight, systematic thinking, future vision, motivation, partnership), impacts the strategic position of Asiacell. This is examined through the organization's adoption of strategic intelligence in its future decisions. 
To achieve the research objective, the researchers relied on a descriptive-analytical approach by establishing a set of hypotheses and testing them through a questionnaire distributed to the research sample. The questionnaire was distributed to 86 individuals, including specialists and employees in the researched company holding positions such as manager, department manager, division manager, and assistants. Out of these, 79 valid questionnaires were retrieved for statistical analysis using the SPSS.V.28 program and various statistical tools and methods.
The research reached several conclusions, the most important of which is that the more the company's management pays attention to strategic intelligence within its comprehensive strategies, in terms of its interest and response to constructive proposals and ideas, the more this directly influences the achievement of its goals. This, in turn, supports the pursuit of achieving a unique strategic position that distinguishes it from its competitors in the Iraqi telecommunications sector.
The most prominent recommendations emphasized the necessity of considering strategic intelligence as a business strategy rather than initiatives to solve temporary issues. This requires integrating it into the company's overall vision, mission, and strategy, and considering it an essential part of its culture to enhance its competitive position.
