This study investigates the gender-specific implication of the COVID-19 lockdown on various asset categories in the Patna district. Employing a stratified random sampling approach, we collected data on financial, human, social, physical, and natural assets, categorizing participants by age, educational levels, and occupational categories. Descriptive analysis and t-tests were employed to discern patterns and assess statistical significance. Our findings reveal significant gender differences in income loss, with women experiencing a more substantial impact. While younger individuals faced disruptions in educational attainment, the t-test did not establish statistical significance, suggesting the need for further exploration. This study contributes to the understanding of gender-specific vulnerabilities during crises, emphasizing the importance of tailored interventions for equitable recovery.
