Abstract:

Startups with a million dollars or more in funding are known as unicorns, and they have become the envy of the world in this age of instantaneous invention and globalized commerce. This research explores the incredible growth of unicorns in India, the USA, and China from 2016 to 2022, revealing the complex connections between these three innovation superpowers. In the midst of significant global shocks, like the pandemic, these countries saw a dramatic increase in unicorns, propelled by a confluence of economic factors and the continuing advance of globalization. Research shows that the US and Chinese economies are highly correlated (r=0.94) and that the US and Indian economy are highly correlated (r=0.936), highlighting the closeness of both economies. Meanwhile, the US is often held up as an example of American entrepreneurial success. Looking forward to 2023-2027, predictions point to an even stronger connection between these countries' startup ecosystems, suggesting a future in which boundaries disappear and invention travels freely across continents. The emergence of unicorns has transformed them from fantastical creatures into icons of economic success, portending a future in which the United States, China, and India maintain their positions as the world's preeminent incubators of high-value businesses. The research presented here suggests a future where new businesses break down geographical barriers and usher in an age of unprecedented global cooperation.
