Human resource management and training GAPS in food safety practices: A study of ICDS supervisors

Author(s):

Naivalu and William Naivalu

Abstract:

The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme is a cornerstone of India's public health and nutrition strategy, aiming to enhance the health and nutritional status of children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. However, gaps in human resource management and training among ICDS supervisors significantly impact food safety practices, leading to inefficiencies in achieving program objectives. This review explores the existing literature to identify challenges in human resource management and training for ICDS supervisors, their impact on food safety practices, and potential strategies for improvement.
