E-learning has been the great evolution of education by giving a flexible access for acquiring knowledge and skills through internet. It satisfy the student's needs by delivering high-quality educational services. E-learning promotes enhanced learning abilities and academic excellence mostly in the Higher education institutions worldwide. This review studies 49 literatures that has been published from 2016 to 2024 and they all were sourced from reputed database such as Springer and Google scholar. The keywords such as “Effectiveness”, “E-Learning”, “Students learning”, “Satisfaction” were helpful in search. The findings from this review has found that E-Learning improves the learning autonomy, flexibility and also reduces the cost with innovative teaching methodologies. Student engagement, course design and readiness of the instructor are some key factors that influence the effectiveness. Although, there do exist some challenges like internet quality, lack of institutional support, and technical barriers. A clear outcome has been derived from this review about the impact of E-Learning that positively affects the satisfaction of the students and this has served as a critical measure of success and quality. In this 21st century the E-Learning can become a fundament of an effective education by addressing the challenges that has been identified and leveraging its potentials.
