Purpose: This paper delves into significant contributions within migration studies, analysing its economic, social and demographic aspects. The literature discussed highlights the interconnection between migration and different elements of development, such as labour market trends, remittances, social transformations, urban growth, and policy considerations.
Methodology: The research takes an approach to reviewing existing literature reviews on the relation between migration and economic development. The analysis draws on economics, population by age and gender along with the emerging impact on urban societies with its demographic changes.
Findings: The study analyses on the balance relationship of Internal Migrants and Labours Migrants in an Urban Society with its economic development of India by gender and age of migrants including push and pull factors
Objectives: To briefly define its existing ideas on Migration and Economic Development of India along with findings and analysing of push and pull factors. Also analysing its impact on four different industrial sectors in India.
Research Limitation: This study is a literature analysis and doesn’t include case studies.
Practical Implications: This study provides important insights to future researchers and practitioners working on the necessity to analyse the economic development due to internal migration in India. Also, migrant workers doing lower-level jobs to meet their ends meet.
Originality: This research stands out on the viewpoints of existing research scholars on migration and economic development, its impact on urban society and also them performing lower-level jobs differentiating to a gender perspective.
