This study explores how operational flexibility influences hospital performance, focusing on the role of management capability and employee engagement. Data were collected from 480 healthcare professionals across five public hospitals in India. Findings show that greater flexibility leads to better hospital performance (β=0.372, p<0.001) by improving employee engagement (β=0.324, p<0.001) and management capability (β=0.335, p<0.001). The results highlight the importance of adaptability in enhancing efficiency, patient satisfaction, and overall hospital effectiveness in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.
