This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of supply chain management in Iraqi industrial companies by analyzing current practice issues and identifying those challenges. The descriptive analytical approach was used through questionnaires to collect data from a sample of two hundred employees at different job levels working in several industrial companies. To better understand and identify current trends regarding successful planning tasks in supply chain management tasks that adopt contemporary technology and good inventory management performance (all of which will be measured by defined bottom line indicators in the future), we observed a high level of satisfaction. At the same time, weak performance review mechanisms and issues related to indigenous people’s participation were identified as challenges. The study concludes that it is necessary for organizations to build comprehensive performance appraisal systems and focus on continuous training programs and enhance cooperation with suppliers in addition to introducing modern technologies in order to better respond to changing market conditions. Applying these recommendations in addition to those available in the literature would lead to better ways to manage them which would ultimately lead to a higher rate of improvement in industrial performance in Iraqi companies operating within this industry.
