This research aims to analyze the concept of entrepreneurship of core capabilities in Iraqi universities and the extent to which a balance is achieved between academic efficiency and research exploration. The descriptive analytical method was employed to collect data from a random sample of 100 faculty members in Iraqi universities. The results revealed an urgent need to enhance the adoption of modern teaching methods, increase research funding, and reduce administrative burdens on faculty members, in addition to providing a more supportive academic environment for scientific research and innovation. The study also indicated that the university environment still requires the development of more supportive policies for core capabilities and the promotion of academic entrepreneurship through strengthening research collaboration and sustainable funding.
