Author(s):

P Kiruthika

Abstract:

This research paper explores the evolving landscape of Human Resource (HR) management at the intersection of Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). While AI offers unprecedented capabilities in automation, data analysis, and efficiency, EI remains crucial for understanding and managing the human element within organizations. This paper examines the distinct roles, potential synergies, and inherent tensions between EI and AI in HR functions. Through a review of existing literature (2; 1; 6; 4; 5; 3), it identifies key challenges and opportunities for HR specialists in leveraging both intelligences to create a more effective, empathetic, and future-ready workplace. The study aims to highlight the critical need for a balanced approach that integrates the strengths of AI with the indispensable qualities of human emotional understanding in HR practices.
