This study examines customer opinions on the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on home appliance products, with specific reference to Bengaluru city. It aims to understand how GST has influenced consumer behavior, purchasing decisions, and perceptions regarding product affordability. Using primary data collected through structured questionnaires and supported by secondary sources, the research highlights both positive and negative responses to GST. While some consumers appreciate the uniform tax structure and increased transparency, others express concerns over high tax rates on essential appliances. The study reveals that awareness levels significantly impact consumer perception and satisfaction. Retailers have responded by offering promotions to maintain demand despite price increases. Bengaluru, being a metropolitan hub, showcases a diverse customer base, making it ideal for such analysis. Findings suggest the need for clearer communication and policy revisions to ensure better consumer acceptance. Overall, the study contributes valuable insights into the practical implications of GST on urban consumer markets.
