Fostering social justice and equality through employees participation in management: Role of trade unions

Abstract:

For Establishment of just and fair workplace requires promoting Social Justice and workplace Equality. Employees participation in management which enables employees to participate in the decision-making process that impact their work life is an important means to accomplish social justice and workplace equality. Trade unions are considered as a key part of employees participation in management as they ensure workers opinion are heard by supporting procedures like, Joint Labor-management committees, Collective bargaining etc. they fight for workers right. This study investigates how trade unions helps employees achieve justice and equality. This study is based on analysis of secondary data gathered from various sources like Google scholar, JSTOR, Company reports, Government reports related to labor movements along with case studies that provides tangible information about Trade unions role in solving employees issues. This study also points out the present situation of trade unions followed by their limitations and challenges. The findings of this study highlights the mechanisms used by Trade unions that solve employees issues and ensure employees indulgence in management and the need of trade unions in organizations.
