Abstract:

This study offers a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of global research on women’s entrepreneurship in agriculture, encompassing scholarly publications from 2000 to 2024. Utilizing data from Scopus and Web of Science, the analysis investigates publication trends, key sources, authorship patterns, thematic developments, and geographical distribution. The findings reveal a marked increase in academic interest after 2015, reflecting the growing global emphasis on sustainable agriculture, gender equity, and rural development. The analysis identifies core thematic areas such as gender, female entrepreneurship, empowerment, performance, and identity. Simultaneously, there is a notable emergence of contemporary themes, including innovation and resource accessibility, indicating a broadening of the research landscape. While the field continues to be predominantly shaped by contributions from developed countries, the increasing participation of scholars from developing regions signals a shift towards greater global inclusivity. This study not only maps the existing research terrain but also highlights critical avenues for future inquiry, aiming to support the development of a more holistic, multidimensional, and policy-relevant understanding of women’s roles in agricultural entrepreneurship.
