Big data is a key driver of transforming the business environment in developing countries, offering tremendous potential to improve decision-making quality, increase operational efficiency, and support innovation across various economic sectors. This study aims to provide an in-depth theoretical analysis of the role of big data in developing countries' business environments, focusing on the potential and challenges facing the adoption of this technology. examination of the technical, organizational and human factors which can present barriers to the adoption of big data. The study concluded that while there are opportunities that can emerge from using big data, in order to take advantage of such opportunities, developing countries will need to give priority to investing in digital infrastructure, digital capabilities and legal and regulatory processes, in order to develop institution cultures that recognize and assign a value to data assets. (i.e., to assign value to data assets as part of the strategic asset allocation process). This research study represents a comprehensive vision that can to help policy makers, and particularly decision- makers in developing countries to develop relevant strategies relative to embedding big data within the further development of a sustainable business environment.
