The Bhagavad Gita: Ancient wisdom for modern management

Author(s):

Pavani Guduru

Abstract:

The Bhagavad Gita stands as one of India’s most revered ancient scriptures, alongside the Vedas, Puranas, and Upanishads. It serves as a spiritual guide, outlining diverse paths that lead to self-realization and inner tranquility. Eminent personalities such as Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, and Lokmanya Tilak have drawn profound inspiration from its timeless wisdom. This study explores the relevance and influence of the Bhagavad Gita in modern society, particularly among the ‘Y’ and ‘Z’ generations. It also examines how the teachings of the Gita shape contemporary management perspectives and philosophies, offering a foundation for ethical leadership and holistic success in both personal and organizational contexts. By integrating spiritual insight with modern management principles, the Bhagavad Gita continues to serve as a timeless guide for achieving balance, purpose, and excellence in the modern world.
