This study examines differences in awareness, attitudes, and perceived importance of sustainable management practices among students from public and private management institutes in Northern India. Using a stratified sampling method, data were collected from 350 students (63 public, 287 private) through a survey. The Mann-Whitney U test revealed significant differences in sustainability awareness and attitudes, underscoring a curriculum gap that may hinder students’ ability to address environmental and societal challenges. The findings highlight the urgent need to integrate sustainability-focused education into management programs, preparing future managers to lead responsibly in a global context.
