The different dimensions of housing market attributes have been significantly influenced the house property purchase decisions. However, these dimensions and factors have not been studied together for more numbers of cities simultaneously, particularly, in U.T of Puducherry. Accordingly, in the present paper an attempt has made to study the influence of dimensional factors on house purchase decisions. The present study has examined the impact of dimensional factors on house property purchase decision by using primary data and with the binary logit regression model. It has found from the study that location attributes and economic attributes have significant negative impact on house purchase decision. Accordingly, without compromising for location and economic attributes house purchase is not possible. Housing intrinsic attributes and legal factors have significant positive impact on house purchase decision. Accordingly, the sellers without ensuring the housing intrinsic attributes and legal sanctity it is impossible to sell a house property. The buyers’ characteristics, environmental attributes, sellers’ dynamics and housing extrinsic attributes have only random effects on house purchase decisions. Therefore, to be specific, buyers’ need to be sacrifices location and economic attributes and sellers need to be ensured the housing intrinsic attributes and legal clearance of the property. The study also estimated the expected probability of house property purchase decision due to dimensional factors and found that it is possible to increase the probability of house purchase from 0.002 to 0.997 with proper understanding and designing of dimensional factors. Therefore, dimensional factors like location, economic, legal and housing intrinsic attributes play predominant and judgmental role in house property purchase decisions. Accordingly, the present study has empirical evidences and solutions for house property purchase decisions.
